HOLLYOAKS STAR LAUREN MCQUEEN APPOINTED LADIES DAY AMBASSADOR FOR HAYDOCK PARK

Press Release 8th July 2019 Haydock Park

ACTRESS WILL FRONT THE FAMOUS STYLE STAKES AND ATTEND ONE OF THE HOTTEST RACEDAYS OF THE SUMMER

Haydock Park Racecourse has appointed Hollyoaks actress and Soap Award nominee Lauren McQueen as its Ladies Day Ambassador for the Smarkets Rose of Lancaster Stakes Ladies Day.

Lauren’s role for the course includes fronting its Style Stakes and attending its most prestigious fixtures, the Smarkets Rose of Lancaster Ladies Day on 10th August.

Ahead of the fixture, Lauren took part in an exclusive fashion shoot for the course in order to provide racegoers with some style inspiration. The actress, who is set to star in Sky One drama Bulletproof later this year, modelled ensembles from high street favourites such as Zara as well as North West fashion houses, Forever Unique and Nadine Merabi.

Commenting on her new role for Haydock Park, Lauren McQueen said: “I’m honoured to take on the position of Ladies Day Ambassador for Haydock Park this summer. I think the races is a fantastic day out whatever the occasion, but for me, the best part of the day is definitely all of the girly aspects of racing, which is why this role was so appealing to me.

“Getting dressed up is what I especially enjoy, particularly on Ladies Day when you can really live out your fashion fantasies by donning bolder styles and of course, topping it all off with a hat or fascinator.

“The only part of the day I’d advise playing it safe for is with your shoes; wear the comfiest ones you can and give them a trial run before the event. You want to be able to enjoy the racing action in the company of family and friends  – not worrying about how much your feet are hurting!”
