THE NEWMARKET AUTUMN SEASON BEGINS WITH CESAREWITCH TRIAL DAY

Join us for a remarkable day of top-class racing as our Autumn racing season kicks off with the Cesarewitch Trial Day on Saturday 20 September 2025. This meeting marks the beginning of a thrilling seven-week period filled with exhilarating races and fierce competition.

The highlight of the day is the Cesarewitch Trial, a test of stamina and staying power as horses compete over a challenging distance of 2 miles and 5 furlongs on the iconic Rowley Mile course. This race serves as a platform for improving stayers to showcase their abilities and establish their credentials in the racing world. With an attractive prize pot and a history of fierce competition, the Cesarewitch Trial promises to be an exhilarating contest.

New for 2025, the inaugural Newmarket Trainers’ Charity Race, the first event of its kind — and one we hope marks the beginning of a lasting tradition. Ridden exclusively by Newmarket-based trainers, this race is a true community effort, run in support of the Newmarket Housing Trust.
