This year’s Henry Cecil Open Weekend will not take place in its traditional format due to Coronavirus, instead we will be bringing action from horseracing’s HQ straight into your homes with the first free- to-view virtual Open Weekend.
The Henry Cecil Commentator Challenge, supported by the Tote, Tattersalls and Racing TV, is a new aspect to the weekend. The competition, open to the public, will offer entrants the opportunity to film and record their best race commentary, with the winner picking up a cheque for £1,000 plus the chance to commentate live at Newmarket Racecourse during the 2021 Open Weekend.
