The Hawker Fury

The Hawker Fury that will be at the Spring Revival Weekend is the only example of a Hawker Fury I in the world.

This plane is kept in airworthy condition by the Historic Aircraft Collection based at Duxford.

The Fury entered service in 1931 as an RAF Fighter, designed to climb fast and intercept the perceived threat of enemy bombers.

The plane is powered by a 21-litre Rolls Royce V12 Kestrel Engine and was the first RAF Fighter to achieve 200 MPH in level flight. Its modern-day descendant for ‘Quick Reaction Alert’ is the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Please note: The planes will be in a static position in the Garden Enclosure for the duration of the Spring Meeting Revival Weekend.

Suffolk Punches

Originating in Suffolk, these magnificent creatures are the oldest English breed of working horse. Dating back to the 16th Century, they were bred for farm work and pulling heavy machinery.

Known for their short and stocky build, these horses are incredibly powerful, yet have a gentle temperament.

Don't miss this opportunity to meet these critically endangered horses and learn more about them from their handlers. There are as few as 300 breeding mares left in existence.

The Suffolk Punches will be located in the Grandstand and Paddock enclosure, on the Hyperion Lawn (Saturday only).
