Betway has boosted its National Hunt racing portfolio with two new exciting race sponsorships, both in the south west region of Jockey Club Racecourses, as the leading online bookmaker continues its investment in the sport.

The firm will now sponsor the Grade 2 Betway Kingmaker Novices’ Chase at Warwick on Saturday 11th February, a race won in the past by greats such as Long Run and Finian’s Rainbow.

Betway, who gained Authorised Betting Partner status in October, have also penned a deal to sponsor the full card at Wincanton on Saturday 18th February, where the highlight of the day is the Grade 2 Betway Kingwell Hurdle.

The 2016 Kingwell Hurdle was won by Rayvin Black trained by Oliver Sherwood and is a key trial for the Champion Hurdle on the opening day of The Festival.

Wincanton’s next racing meeting is on Thursday, 19th and sees the return of the Higos Insurance Services Somerset National. This feature race is run over three miles and two furlongs and is a nice pointer for future staying chasers with the Grand National in their long-term sights.

The Thursday fixture also sees Wincanton welcome their one enclosure entry price of £12 per person (advance booking) and £14 on the day entry for six competitive contests that will be supported by the country’s best trainers from Paul Nicholls to Colin Tizzard.
