Cheltenham Racecourse Ladies Day Community Ticket Ballot: Terms & Conditions

 

1. The Promoter is The Jockey Club, 21-27 Lambs Conduit Street, London, WC1N 3NL. (the "Promoter").

2. The Cheltenham Racecourse Ladies Day Community Ticket Ballot (“Ballot”) is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary. Only one participating entry per person, is allowed.

 

3. The Cheltenham Racecourse Community Ballot opens 1st January 2026 and closes 11.59pm on Sunday 25th January 2026.

 

4. In order to participate the in the Ballot, a participant must be:

  • Aged 18 or over
  • Satisfy the promotional geographical boundary eligibility criteria which is within 3 miles of Cheltenham Racecourse (located at GN50 4SH) as listed in clause 24
  • Submitted an entry via the entry form


5. The prize is one of 250 complimentary pairs of General Admission (Tattersalls Enclosure) tickets for Ladies Day at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 12th March 2026. Car parking and hospitality not included with this promotion.


6. 250 winners will be picked using a random number generator on Monday 26th January 2026 and the prize (2 x General Admission Tattersalls Enclosure tickets for Ladies Day at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 12th March 2026) will be dispatched by e-ticket to the email address provided with the Ballot entry. The Jockey Club bears no responsibility for non-delivery due to email or technical errors with the recipients account or device. 

 

7. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Ballot, the decision of the Jockey Club shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

 

8. The winner and their guest will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to Ladies Day at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 12th March 2026.
  
9. If for any reason any aspect of this Ballot is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Ballot, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the Ballot and invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.

10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entries and to refuse the prize or withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of the Ballot entry eligibility requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Ballot or won using fraudulent means.

11. The Promoter will not be responsible if the winner is unable to attend Ladies Day at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 12th March 2026 due to health or other reasons.

12. The Promoter will not be liable if Ladies Day at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday 12th March 2026 is cancelled, delayed or suspended as a result of an act, omission, event or circumstance which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.

13. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Ballot or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

14. This Ballot is not open to employees of The Jockey Club, their immediate families, prize sponsors, agents, clients, suppliers, retailers, merchants or associates.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter, vary, suspend or withdraw this promotion as the Promoter deems necessary in its absolute sole discretion.

16. The Promoter shall have the right in its absolute sole discretion to substitute any prize with one of equivalent or greater value. The prize or its alternative must be accepted as offered. No cash alternative will be offered in whole or in part in connection with this promotion.

17. By entering this Ballot, you understand that for the purposes of administering prize fulfilment, it is necessary for The Jockey Club to securely hold and process your personal data.

18. By participating in the ballot and submitting an entry, you are agreeing that the personal information that you provided is processed in accordance with The Jockey Club’s Privacy Policy.

19. Data relating to entrants of the Ballot will be retained by The Jockey Club for a reasonable period after the Ballot closes to assist The Jockey Club to operate the Ballot in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries in the Ballot. The winner agrees to the release of their first initial, surname and county of residence to any other Ballot participants if requested.

20. The Jockey Club may process your personal data for marketing purposes with your consent, based on a legitimate business interest, or as otherwise permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all marketing emails.

21. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant, The Jockey Club may, at its sole discretion invalidate the prize and disqualify the entrant from the Ballot.

22. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

23. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction unless you live in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.

 

24. Full list of eligible postcode areas within the promotional geographical boundary are:

  • North: Gotherington & Woolstone
  • North East: Woodmancote & Cleeve Hill
  • East: Whittington & Lower Dowdeswell
  • South East: Charlton Kings
  • South: Leckhampton
  • South West: Up Hatherley
  • West: Elmstone Hardwicke & the M5 boundary
  • North West Stoke Orchard

 

The settlements listed loosely represent the extent of the geographical promotional boundary. Please note that some discretion may be given by the racecourse to applicants who live within villages or communities that could be located marginally beyond the promoted geographical boundaries associated with this promotion.
