Where to Park and how to get to the Moët & Chandon July Festival

Parking within the public car parks is free to all those attending the race meeting.
Verge parking orders are now in place for all roads leading to the July Course. Anyone parking on verges approaching the course will be ticketed or towed away.
If you choose to park in Newmarket town, please respect our local neighbours and do not park in front of driveways. We have a free bus service from Newmarket town centre and Newmarket Train Station.
Disabled parking areas are accessed via Gate 4 for ticket holders in the Grandstand & Paddock and Family Enclosure. For Premier or Grandstand & Paddock enclosure ticket holders please use Gate 2. If you require assistance from your car our car parking attendants will be able to radio the golf buggy which will take you to your point of entry, this service can not accommodate wheelchairs.
Make your day hassle free and leave your keys with us and we’ll park your car for you. Located at the Premier Entrance it gives you quick and easy access to the main entrances at the racecourse. For just £20.00 you can make sure you are in on time to get close to all the action at the Racecourse.

Coaches must enter the racecourse via Gate 4 off the A1303.
For the Moët & Chandon July Festival coach drivers with 16 or more passengers will be eligible for free entry to the Garden Enclosure and will receive a voucher for a soft drink. The driver must complete Newmarket Racecourses Coach Driver Security Form which will be given out when the driver enters the coach parking area. This completed form must be presented together with the work docket at the entrance to the Garden Enclosure. No free entry will be granted unless the two documents are shown. To avoid queues, the form must be completed before coming to claim the free entry. One driver per vehicle ONLY.
If coaches wish to leave the site and come back to the course they must be back in the coach car park half an hour before the last race as access into Gate 4 is restricted from this time to allow for egress.
A taxi rank is located outside Premier Entrance 1, at the front of the white car park.
PRIVATE HIRE PICK UP/ DROP OFF
There is a designated pick up and drop off area within the racecourse car parks for private hire cars and minibuses (15 seats or less). All vehicles using this area must enter the racecourse via Gate 2 and turn immediately right where they will be able to wait in designated waiting bays for 15 minutes. All vehicles must then exit via Gate 3 as there is a one way system in operation. This area will be signed for pedestrians and vehicles. Please see the attached map for the location.
Any vehicles picking up or dropping off on the roundabout will be stopped.
Traffic to the site can build up at peak times, and therefore we would advise you arrive early to avoid being delayed. During the Moet & Chandon July Festival, there will be Après Racing after-parties that continue for approx. 1.5 hours post the last race, please allow up to 2 hours to exit the car parks.
On exiting the car parks, please note the route you will manually be directed will not be the shortest route but it will allow you to exit the Car Parks in the shortest time possible.
Newmarket Racecourses in collaboration with our traffic management company (CSP) annually review our traffic management strategies in consultation with the Local Council, Police and Highways Agency.
NEWMARKET RACECOURSES outrider BUS SERVICE
Please note we offer an Outrider Service from Cambridge for all our 39 race days.
We also offer Outrider Services from Royston, Bury St Edmunds and Ely (via Soham) on specific dates as detailed below. Book your Outrider service at the time of purchasing your admission tickets.
from Cambridge train station
This service is available for all racedays. A single coach service is operated by the racecourse from Cambridge train station. The bus will pick up and return at the following times:
- July Festival: 12:00pm from Cambridge Train Station. Returns journey commences 30 minutes after the last race
On the Rowley Mile, the departure point is from the Annual Badge Holders car park which is located outside of the Premier Entrance.

from Bury ST Edmunds
A single Outrider bus service is operated by the racecourse from Bury St Edmunds bus station to the racecourse on the following dates shown below. Times are subject to change so please check on the day before you visit:
- July Festival: 12:00pm from Bury St Edmunds Bus Station. Returns journey commences 30 minutes after the last race
The bus stop is at bay 9 at Bury St Edmunds Bus Station and will be the pick-up and drop off point. On the Rowley Mile, the departure point is from the Annual Badge car park which is located outside of the Premier Entrance.
Bury St Edmunds bus price: Pre-order - £10.00 return, £6.00 one way.
from Ely (SOham & Fordham)
A single Outrider bus service is operated by the racecourse from Ely, also picking up at Soham and Fordham, to the racecourse on the following dates shown below. It will be picking up at Market Street, Ely, outside the Herewood pub, stopping outside the Red Lion pub in Soham and then Murfits Lane in Fordham. Times are subject to change so please check on the day before you visit:

NEWMARKET Shuttle Bus
A complimentary shuttle bus service on race days runs between Newmarket town centre and the Racecourse. Starting approximately 2 hours before the first race and stops at the first race. The service picks up outside Hughes electrical store on the high street and at the train station. The return journeys from the Racecourse commence around 45 minutes before the last race and continue for up to 2 hours. The bus will drop off at the train station and at the bus stop on The Avenue (just off the high street).
At the Racecourse, the shuttle bus service will drop off and collect from outside the Grandstand and Paddock Entrance.
