THE ACTION FROM day two 2019

The Duchess of Cornwall, Honorary Member of the Jockey Club, attended Ladies Day and presented the trophy to the winning Owner, Jockey and Trainer of The Betway Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase. Altior (4/11 favourite) returned to emotional scenes and two spontaneous rounds of 'three cheers' after possibly the most dramatic win of his career in the G1 Queen Mother Champion Chase.

The star of the show on Ladies Day was the incredible Altior who continued his unbeaten streak over fences for Champion Trainer, Nicky Henderson. The 4/11 Favourite held off strong challenges from Politologue and Sceau Royal respectively before returning to the Winners’ Enclosure as a back-to-back Betway Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase winner.

Tiger Roll put in an extraordinary performance in the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase to finish well clear of the field and to follow up on his success in this race last year for jockey Keith Donoghue, and trainer Gordon Elliot.
