The Jockey Club has today announced that all General Admission enclosures on Gold Cup Day at The Cheltenham Festival (Friday 17th March) have sold out in record time.
Gold Cup Day is the fourth and final day of The Festival and features the meeting’s most valuable and prestigious contest, the £625,000 Grade One Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Ian Renton, Regional Director at the Jockey Club (Cheltenham and South West), said: “It is fantastic that Gold Cup Day has sold out earlier than ever before and this is testament to the enduring popularity of The Festival.
“It is particularly apt that we are able to announce this today, which is Festival Trials Day and our last day of racing ahead of The Festival.
“While all General Admission tickets have now been sold for Gold Cup Day, a number of hospitality options are still available and General Admission tickets can still be purchased for the first three days of The Festival – Champion Day, Festival Wednesday and St Patrick’s Thursday.”
