DAY THREE
Thursday’s action is headlined by the bet365 Craven Stakes. This Group Three contest traditionally acts as a trial for the first Classic of the season, the following month’s QIPCO 2000 Guineas.
In 2023, Indestructible triumphed in the bet365 Craven Stakes, beating a high-class group of three-year-old colts. It wasn’t to be in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas the following month, however.
Adding to the adrenaline, The Connaught Access Flooring Abernant Stakes (Group 3) features top-tier contenders. The race has helped develop some of racing’s elite sprinters, with Oxted (2020) and Mayson (2012) both of whom went on to claim victory in the prestigious July Cup in the last decade alone.
