Gold Cup Day, Day Four of The Cheltenham Festival concludes four incredible days of racing.
The JCB Triumph Hurdle is a Grade 1 hurdle, run on the New Course for horses over four. It's run on 2m abt 1f with eight hurdles jumped. It's restricted for juvenile hurdlers and has seen four winners go on to win the Unibet Champion Hurdle. These include Clair Soleil, Persian War, Kribensis, and Katchit, while 2018 and 2019 Grand National winner Tiger Roll won the Triumph Hurdle in 2014.
The BetMGM County Handicap Hurdle is a highly competitive premier handicap hurdle run over 2m abt 1f. It's open to horses aged five and over, run on the New Course with eight hurdles jumped.
The Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle is a Grade 1 race, run over abt 3m on the New Course. With 12 hurdles to jump, it's open to horses aged over four.
It's the ultimate test for the very best long-distance novice hurdlers and was first introduced to The Festival in 2005.
St. James’s Place Festival Challenge Cup Open Hunters' Chase is run over the same course and distance as the Cheltenham Gold Cup, but is restricted to amateur jockeys.
The race is open to horses aged five and older, run over a distance of 3m abt 2½ f with 22 fences jumped.
The Mrs Paddy Power Mares' Steeple Chase (Grade 2) is ran over 2m abt 4½f.
The Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle is the final race of The Cheltenham Festival. It's a race for conditional jockeys and for horses aged four and older. It's run on the New Course, over a distance of 2m abt 4½ f with nine hurdles jumped.
The race is named after Martin Pipe, who was a very successful Jumps trainer, with 34 Cheltenham Festival winners. The race was first to run in 2009.
