The Hill - Cazoo Derby Festival 2021

Article 3rd May 2021 Epsom Downs

We look forward to welcoming back a limited number of spectators to the Cazoo Derby Festival this summer.

Ongoing restrictions on mass gatherings mean that racegoers are currently prevented from attending racecourses. Should they be able to return from 17th May it will be in limited numbers, and as such we need to put measures in place on the Downs in order to provide a secure site for racing.

We have now had the relevant approvals for the closure of footpaths and construction of fencing for the Cazoo Derby Festival in June, which means the Downs will be closed to the public from 00:01 on Friday 4th June until 23:59 on Saturday 5th June. These are the same measures implemented for last year’s Derby, which was staged in July.

We would like to thank all those who abided by the restrictions last July and for the Spring Meeting and would ask the public to continue to do so for the two days of the Cazoo Derby Festival next month.

We would also like to thank both Epsom and Walton Downs Conservators, who govern the Downs, and Epsom and Ewell Borough Council for their support.

Access to the 2021 Festival will by ticket only and the name on a ticket must match ID. Tickets were allocated by ballot and have now sold out. There are a limited number of Hospitality spaces available should you still wish to join us.
