Dubai Racing Club Renews Partnership with The Jockey Club

Article 15th December 2025 Newmarket

Dubai Racing Club has renewed its partnership with UK racecourse group The Jockey Club after a successful first season in 2025.

The reciprocal agreement will see The Jockey Club sponsor the Jumeirah Stakes, a 1400metre three-year-old Conditions race, on 2 January 2026, while Dubai Racing Club will sponsor a 1000metre handicap at the Newmarket July Course on 10 July. In 2025 the Dubai Racing Club Handicap was won by the David O’Meara-trained Leadman, while Charlie Appleby’s Age Of Gold took the Jumeirah Stakes (sponsored by The Jockey Club.)

“We thoroughly enjoyed working with The Jockey Club last season in creating this partnership,” commented Al Ali Ali, CEO and Board Member, Dubai Racing Club. “Horseracing is increasingly a global sport and initiatives such as these allow us to learn from other jurisdictions for the benefit of the whole industry.”

Sophie Able, International Director for The Jockey Club, added: It is with great pleasure that we announce the continuation of our partnership with Dubai Racing Club. The relationship between Dubai and British racing is longstanding, deeply valued, and built on a shared commitment to excellence in our sport.

“Welcoming Dubai Racing Club to the Debenhams July Festival further highlighted the strength and significance of our collaboration. We look forward to exploring new opportunities to bring British and Dubai racing even closer together with His Excellency Ali Al Ali and his team.” For more information, visit dubairacingclub.com or www.thejockeyclub.co.uk
