Bid4aBox Wincanton Racecourse Terms & Conditions

 

1. The Promoter is The Jockey Club, 21-27 Lambs Conduit Street, London, WC1N 3NL. (the "Promoter").

 

2. Bid4aBox requires a minimum bid of £750. Should the bid submitted be successful, a purchase will be required. Only one bid per person is allowed.


3. Bidding opens Monday 26 February 2026 and closes 11:59pm Monday 16 March 2026.


4. To qualify to enter the Bid, you must be a resident in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and/or the Isle of Man.


5. Bidding is only open to entrants over the age of 18, who have submitted a bid via the Bid4aBox page.


6. One private hospitality box and package is available to be won. The package includes the private box facility and Premier food package for ten people on Monday 23 March 2026 at the Spring Raceday at Wincanton Racecourse.

 

Full package includes:
- Hospitality admission
- Two Course Picnic Buffet
- Tea and coffee
- Raceday programme
- Private Hospitality Box for the day
- Private bar
- Betting Facility
- Complimentary Car Parking
- Box host and drinks service


Sale or exchange of the private hospitality box and package is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to sell, transfer or exchange the private hospitality box and package will result in the private hospitality box and package being withdrawn by The Jockey Club and the Private hospitality box and package will be declared null and void. Any additional food or drinks purchased will need to be paid for on the day.


7. The highest bidder will be selected on Tuesday 17 March 2026 and notified via email or telephone. Confirmation of acceptance of the prize (Private hospitality box and package at Wincanton Racecourse on Monday 23 March 2026) must be made by Thursday 19 March 2026. Failure to settle payment for the prize (Private hospitality box and package at Wincanton Racecourse on Monday 23 March 2026) will result in disqualification and selection of the next highest bidder. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the highest bidding winner before selection of an alternative winner is made.


8. The winner and their guests will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to Spring Raceday on Monday 23 March 2026 at Wincanton Racecourse.


9. If for any reason any aspect of this Bid is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Bid, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the Bid or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.


10. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of Bid entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the Bid or won using fraudulent means.


11. The Promoter will not be responsible if the winner or any of their guests are unable to attend Spring Raceday on Monday 23 March 2026 at Wincanton Racecourse due to health or other reasons.


12. The Promoter will not be liable if the Spring Raceday on Monday 23 March 2026 at Wincanton Racecourse is cancelled, delayed or suspended as a result of an act, omission, event or circumstance which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.


13. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Bid or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.


14. This Bid is not open to employees of The Jockey Club, their families, agents, clients, suppliers, retailers, merchants or associates.


15. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter, vary, suspend or withdraw this promotion as the Promoter deems necessary in its absolute sole discretion.


16. By bidding, you understand that for the purposes of administering prize fulfilment, it is necessary for The Jockey Club to securely hold and process your personal data.


17. By submitting a bid, you are agreeing that the personal information that you provided is processed in accordance with The Jockey Club’s Privacy Policy.


18. Data relating to entrants of the Bid will be retained by The Jockey Club for a reasonable period after the Bid closes to assist The Jockey Club to operate Bids in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries in the Competition. The winner agrees to the release of their first initial, surname and county of residence to any other bidding participants if requested. 19. The Jockey Club may process your personal data for marketing purposes with your consent, based on a legitimate business interest, or as otherwise permitted by law. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all marketing emails.


20. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant, The Jockey Club may, at its sole discretion invalidate the prize and disqualify the entrant from the Bid.


21. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.


22. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction unless you live in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
