Newmarket’s Rowley Mile racecourse will welcome a limited capacity of spectators back to the races across all three days of The Cambridgeshire Meeting, 24th to 26th September, after the event was selected as a Government-approved pilot for the return of racegoers.
Spectator capacity numbers for each of the three days will be confirmed shortly, following this being finalised with local authorities.
Health and safety measures will be in place in accordance with national requirements and British Horseracing Authority protocols, including the ability for racegoers to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene at all times.
A spokesperson for Jockey Club Racecourses said:
“We’re really pleased that The Cambridgeshire Meeting has been selected as a pilot event to welcome back a limited capacity of spectators. It’s an important step towards racegoers returning to our events regularly as soon as it’s appropriate to do so, and on this long road to recovery we’re on as an industry.”
