What are the different Tote bets?

 

Single bets are bets that cover one race- for example, a win or a place.

  • Win: Select the victor of the race.
  • Place: Pick a horse to secure a spot. The number of places depends on the number of runners.
  • Each Way: Get double the action with a Win and a Place bet on the same horse.
  • Exacta: Nail the 1st and 2nd in the correct order. Or go for a reverse Exacta, where your two selections can finish 1st and 2nd in any order.
  • Trifecta: Predict the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the right order. Alternatively, try a combination Trifecta, where your selections can finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in any order.
  • Swinger: Pick two horses and have three chances to win. 1st and 2nd, 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd.
