DANIEL CRAGGS APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER OF NOTTINGHAM RACECOURSE ALONGSIDE HUNTINGDON ROLE

Press Release 21st April 2026

Daniel Craggs

The Jockey Club is pleased to announce that Daniel Craggs has taken on the additional role of General Manager at Nottingham Racecourse, starting Monday 13th April, alongside his existing position at Huntingdon Racecourse.

Daniel joined The Jockey Club in March 2024 as General Manager at Huntingdon Racecourse, bringing experience across professional sport, including previous roles at Nottingham Forest Football Club and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, as well as the leisure and third sectors. His expertise spans commercial growth, partnerships and venue development.

During his time at Huntingdon, he has overseen growth in attendance at feature fixtures, increased engagement with local businesses and a continued uplift in conference and events revenue, with particular focus on enhancing both raceday and non-raceday experiences.

A strong emphasis has also been placed on community engagement, including a partnership with Creating Nature’s Corridors. This initiative has overseen the planting of more than 13,000 trees and shrubs at the racecourse, alongside wellbeing activities such as Mental Health Walks.

In his expanded role, Daniel will now oversee operations at both Huntingdon and Nottingham Racecourses, with a focus on driving commercial performance and raising the profile of Nottingham within its local market.

Daniel Craggs said: “I’m incredibly proud of what the team has achieved at Huntingdon and the progress we’ve made together.

“I’m now really looking forward to building on that experience in this new combined role, supporting both Huntingdon and Nottingham Racecourses. I know Nottingham well and understand the opportunity to further grow the racecourse’s profile.”

The appointment forms part of The Jockey Club’s evolving small racecourse operating model, designed to drive collaboration, efficiency and growth across its portfolio.
