Chapel Down, England’s leading wine producer, today announces a new multi-year partnership as the Official English Sparkling Wine partner of The Jockey Club.
The partnership brings together two organisations committed to quality, hospitality and exceptional experiences. Through the collaboration, Chapel Down English sparkling wines will be served across all 15 of The Jockey Club’s racecourses, including within the main retail bars and hospitality areas at each venue.
As the largest commercial horse racing organisation in the UK, The Jockey Club stages many of the nation’s most celebrated racedays and festivals, including the Cheltenham Festival, Randox Grand National Festival and The Betfred Derby Festival at Epsom Downs, and welcomes over five million racegoers each year.
The partnership officially launches at The Betfred Derby Festival on June 5th and 6th, one of Britain’s most iconic sporting and social occasions and home to the world-famous Derby. During the two-day event, Chapel Down will host a dedicated sparkling wine bar within the Hyperion Lawn, serving an extended range of its sparkling and still wines alongside curated food pairings including seafood platters, sushi and charcuterie boards. Chapel Down sparkling wines will also be served across the bars at Epsom Downs Racecourse and throughout hospitality areas during the festival.
Within the Downs View Restaurant, guests will also be able to enjoy a specially created afternoon tea designed to pair with Chapel Down Rosé English Sparkling Wine, which was last week awarded a trophy at the prestigious International Wine Challenge 2026.
The partnership further strengthens Chapel Down’s growing presence within British horseracing. Earlier this year, the brand announced a renewal of its partnership with Royal Ascot, where Chapel Down continues as the Official English Sparkling Wine partner ahead of this year’s event from 16th to 20th June. Chapel Down is also the Official English Sparkling Wine partner of Newbury Racecourse.
This latest partnership reflects the growing popularity and prestige of English sparkling wine, alongside increasing demand for premium British brands within sport, hospitality and leisure. Chapel Down and The Jockey Club will also collaborate on a wider programme of hospitality, events and consumer experiences throughout the racing calendar.
James Pennefather, CEO at Chapel Down, said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with The Jockey Club, which stages some of the country’s most celebrated racedays and hospitality experiences across its racecourses nationwide. The Jockey Club and Chapel Down share a commitment to quality, hospitality and memorable experiences, making this a natural partnership. The collaboration provides a significant platform to showcase English sparkling wine to audiences across some of the country’s most iconic sporting and social occasions.”
Matt Powell, Partnerships Director at The Jockey Club, added: “We are delighted to welcome Chapel Down to The Jockey Club as our Official English Sparkling Wine Partner. Our sport is rooted in British heritage and world-class experiences, so The Jockey Club is proud to collaborate with a brand that shares our commitment to celebrating the best of British. This partnership will enhance our raceday offering and provide racegoers with an exceptional English sparkling wine experience starting at the Betfred Derby Festival and moving forward across other Jockey Club venues.”
The partnership forms part of Chapel Down’s growing portfolio of collaborations with leading British organisations. Chapel Down is also the Official English Sparkling Wine of Royal Ascot, England Cricket, The Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Its wines are served by the British government at state and diplomatic events, and Chapel Down is an official supplier to the London Stock Exchange.
