ABOUT THE SERIES
The Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle takes place on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival and serves as the final for the 21 long-distance qualifying races that are run throughout the jumps season.
Raced over 3 miles and for horses 5 years and over. Starting in 2025, winners of those qualifiers are now guaranteed a place in this race, as long as they are within the required weight range come the festival.
The race has been something of a stepping stone for younger horses who go on to greater achievements over fences. In recent years the likes of Presenting Percy and Delta Work and Sire Du Berlais have won the race en route to excellent novice chase campaigns the following season. The series sees races across the UK, Ireland and France.

3 Catch Him Derry 14-1
4 Feet Of A Dancer 15-2
5 One Big Bang 14-1
6 Will The Wise 8-1
The 2025 series winner was Doddiethegreat, ridden by Brian Hughes and trained by Nicky Henderson. The Pertemps Final ended in a duel between two Nicky Henderson stablemates, but it was the lesser-fancied Doddiethegreat who prevailed over favourite Jeriko Du Reponet for an emotional success at Cheltenham.
The 25-1 winner is named after the late Scottish rugby star Doddie Weir, and all his prize-money in the £110,000 contest will be given to the Doddie Weir foundation after the nine-year-old held off the favourite to score by a length and three-quarters.
Sporting the blue-and-white silks of Kenny Alexander, synonymous at this meeting with star mare Honeysuckle, Doddiethegreat was travelling best heading into the final flight and put in a perfect leap to seal his victory, with Jeriko Du Reponet failing to eat into the deficit under Nico de Boinville. Henderson, enjoyed his first Pertemps Final win in a decade, and his pair finished clear of the Dan Skelton-trained Catch Him Derry in third.
