2020 has been a challenging and frustrating year for everyone and with the latest government guidance it has become clear that we will now be unable to welcome you to any of this year’s fixtures at Newmarket Racecourses.
You will no doubt want to know what this means for your 2020 badge. As you’re aware, throughout the year we’ve been explaining that our intention is to compensate you for any fixture we’re unable to welcome you to this year.
We are now in a position to set out the 2 options available to you, namely to remain as Thoroughbred Lounge member at The Jockey Club Newmarket with your full 2020 badge purchase amount credited towards your 2021 badge or to terminate your membership and return your annual badge, receiving a full refund.
Details of these two options are explained below:
Option 1
Remain as Thoroughbred Lounge Member, transferring the amount you paid for your badge in 2020, into 2021
- Guaranteed 2021 membership and priority purchase opportunity in 2022 (if badge sales need to be capped due to reduced crowd capacities)
- Renewal price of annual membership fixed for 2 years at 2020 price when carried over 2021 and when renewed in first pricing window for 2022 before 2 November 2021.
Option 2
Cancel your membership, return your Thoroughbred Lounge badge, car parking sticker and passcard(s) and receive a refund for 2020
- Will have the opportunity to join as a new badge holder in 2021 in 2nd pricing window from £845 per person, subject to badge availability
