At a time of year when the flat season is drawing to a close and the first big Jump racing meetings are on the horizon, it’s a great time for me to preview what the 2019/20 season has in store at The Home of Jump Racing.
Rather than give you my misguided views on what is going to happen on the course however, I wanted to highlight a few of the changes and new products we are introducing which may change your day-out at Cheltenham.
18-28 Membership
This summer saw the launch of our new 18-28 membership which has been extremely popular due to its fantastic value for money. Aiming to attract a younger audience to the racecourse on a more regular basis, the £230 annual fee gets you access to every day of racing at Cheltenham, including all four extraordinary days of The Festival™ presented by Magners and complimentary access to our new area The Park. You will also get access to various members’ only facilities over the course of the season so this is a really worthwhile investment if you are a regular visitor to the racecourse.
The Park
After the successful launch of The Orchard™ in 2019 we are pleased to announce a new concept called The Park for 2020. This area will be perfect for our new 18-28 members with ‘instagrammable’ brand activations alongside a music stage and bars making The Park the place to go if you are looking to have a fun day with a group of friends.
This new concept will run alongside The Orchard™ which will return for a second year as the go-to destination for high-end brands at Cheltenham. Expect another fantastic retail offering from our select group of partners that made The Orchard™ a hive of activity at last season’s Festival.
Orchard Pods
After the successful launch of the Horse & Groom Pub last year, 2020 will see the introduction of a new private hospitality concept which will give you the intimate feel of a box as well as the lively atmosphere of The Orchard™. Each pod will have a balcony overlooking The Orchard™ where you can enjoy the live DJ and TV racing coverage on the big screens. The pods will feature a casual dining option for 12-20 people and will offer a real wow factor for entertaining key clients.
Cheltenham Racecourse Golf Day
As we continue to add to our world class hospitality offering, on our final fixture of the 2019/20 season we will start the summer off with our inaugural Golf Day. The package will allow racegoers to combine their love of golf and racing as you tee off for 18 holes at Lilley Brook Golf Course during the day before being transferred to Cheltenham Racecourse for prize giving and hospitality in the National Hunt Room for our Race Night fixture.
As you can imagine we have had a very busy summer putting all these plans in place as we strive to continue Cheltenham Racecourse to be the Greatest Racecourse in the world! We are looking forward to welcoming you all for the new season.
